The Backstory:

Andrea Bennett-Founder & Artistic Director,

Andrea Bennett is a visionary leader and accomplished educator in the performing arts, with a deep commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent. As the Founder and Artistic Director of The Talent Den and the ongoing Director of the Bennett Academy of the Performing Arts, Andrea brings close to three decades of experience in the arts industry, seamlessly blending her expertise and passion for the profesional and hobbyist artistic developement. Andrea’s journey in the performing arts began at age 5, where her passion for writing, voice and piano led her to study under some of the most respected mentors and coaches in the industry. As a well trained young pianist, Ms Bennett first professional stage performance was at the historic Carnegie Hall. This continuing passion made her see there was a need for artist support in her community. While working as a private school music teacher, Andrea realized there was no program available that would cater to aspiring artists in her city. Andrea created her own vibrant community-focused institution dedicated to helping hobbyists explore and refine their creative skills. The Academy has become a respected hub for individuals of all ages who seek to express themselves through the arts, whether for personal fulfillment or as a creative outlet. Since the inception of her Bennett Academy’s New Rochelle, NY launch in 1996, Andrea has created thousands of professional singers, pianists, actors, playrights and filmmakers, from all over the United States.

Andrea’s award winning former students and Alumni are accomplished Actors, Filmmakers, Singer, and Songwriters, who have written for Toni Braxton, David Archuleta, Jason Derulo, Pusha T, and many more. Her instrumental alumni have toured with top Gospel, Classical and R&B Artists. She has coached successful independant artists, to create their own extensive fanbase. Ms. Bennett music and acting instruction has been extended to schools, community centers, and she still currently offers private coaching for accomplished artists and writers.

Building on the success and methodologies developed at the Bennett Academy, Andrea founded The Talent Den to cater to those pursuing professional careers in the performing arts. The Talent Den has quickly gained a reputation for its innovative and holistic approach to artistic development, offering personlized coaching, hand-on experience, and continuous feedback. Andrea’s leadership at both institutions reflects her commitment to fostering creativity at all levels from the hobbyists to the aspiring professionals. The Talent Den will focus on helping artists develop the technical skills, emotional intelligence, and industry connections necessary for the successful career. Meanwhile, at the Bennett Academy, she ensures that hobbyists receive the support and guidance they need to explore their artistic passions.

Andrea’s vision is to create environments where all artists, whether pursuing a hobby or a career, can develop their unique talents and achieve their personal goals in the world of performing arts.
